Sigrdrífa the Priestess 0
Your Excellency, May a High Priestess ask what the motto of Flanders is?
Astrid 0
Your Excellency, May a High Priestess ask what the motto of Flanders is? That would, of course, be: "Vlaanderen de Leeuw!".
Gert Geens 0
Actually, no, it isn't. The problem is that I can't find for sure what really is our motto. There has been a contest to suggest a motto, out of which there came one entry that got some approval ("the first will be the last", referring to the fact that Flanders was the first Dutch speaking micronation), but I haven't found a decision yet. Gert Geens 0
The first will be the last has indeed been adopted as our motto in October 2012.
Sigrdrífa the Priestess 0
Your Excellency, A High Priestess wishes to convey her thanks for your response. Did you know that Stormark has thirteen mottos?
Gert Geens 0
I don't really get article 2: there are 26 jarldoms and only 12 motto's. How does that work?
Sigrdrífa the Priestess 0
Your Excellency,A High Priestess wishes to convey that she understands where your confusion comes from. In the context of Article 2 of the National Mottos Act of Year 11 "Twenty Six Jarldoms" does not refer to the number of individual jarldoms but to the nation as a whole since Twenty-Six Jarldoms is one of the thirteen official names of Stormark. One shall encounter the number 13 quite often in Stormark since it is a number associated with the Goddess Freyja and therefore considered an exuberantly lucky number.
