Freyja's Sacred Sky Water Ritual

In the very early morning, just before dawn, Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir, the High Priestess of the Ancient Temple, is walking through the sacred Forntemplet Forrest. She is accompanied by a little girl of noble birth called Lady Ljúfvina Geirdiarfrsdottir. The High Priestess of the Ancient Temple and the very young noble lady, who are both members of the mysterious sisterhood the Daughters of Freyja, are to perform the very old and sacred water ritual known as Freyja's Sacred Sky Water Ritual.

Lady Ljúfvina Geirdiarfrsdottir had joined the Daughters of Freyja very recently after Lady Aoife the Celt, herself being a senior member of the Daughters of Freyja and very impressed by the little noble lady's performances during the State Visit from Batavia, where the little noble lady had welcomed King Arkadius and Queen Charlotte in their own language, Dutch, and given the Batavian Queen a bunch of flowers, as well as at the annual Recital of the Laws of Stormark Ceremony where Lady Ljúfvina had opened the said ceremony, had recommended her for membership in the mysterious sisterhood. The Daughters of Freyja immediately recognized Lady Ljúfvina's enormous potential and quickly accepted her, after obtaining her parents' permission and performing the secret initiation rites and rituals, into their mysterious sisterhood. Lady Ljúfvina's parents were very honoured that their daughter was to join the Daughters of Freyja and also gave their consent to Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir to take the little noble lady as a foster child.

Freyja's Sacred Sky Water Ritual should be performed at dawn by a mother and a daughter, either by blood or acceptance. Both mother and a daughter must also be sacred to Freyja. Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir had always wanted to perform Freyja's Sacred Sky Water Ritual and was now, due to Lady Ljúfvina becoming her foster daughter, finally able to perform the said ancient and sacred water ritual. Patiently she had waited for the correct day and when the weather forecast finally predicted rain and thunder at dawn, Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir took the little noble lady into the sacred Forntemplet Forrest.

Lady Ljúfvina was very excited that she was going to take part in Freyja's Sacred Sky Water Ritual. Her foster mother, Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir, who is walking next to her, had told her all about and she was actively looking for a suitable spot where the said ancient and sacred water ritual could be performed. She was just like her foster mother carrying a sacred wooden bowl with runic inscriptions relating to Freyja. Her foster mother was also carrying a birch branch. Suddenly the little noble lady noticed a fitting spot on a hilltop, pulled her foster mother's arm and pointed the spot out to her. Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir looked at the spot and immediately saw that it was very suitable. The spot was full of natural energies and had a very serene feel about it. Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir smiled at her foster daughter pleased that the little noble lady kept proving that she really is something. They then quickly walk to the hill and climb to its top.

After having reached the top, the High Priestess of the Ancient Temple and the little noble lady walk to its center. Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir takes her foster daughter by the hand and with the banch in the other hand the High Priestess of the Ancient Temple draws a nine foot Freyja protective circle in the soft dirt. When the circle is completed Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir and Lady Ljúfvina take off their clothes and then step into the center of the Freyja circle. Both fully naked now, they warmly lovingly and tenderly kiss, caress and hug each other to open themselves up for the Freyja's Sacred Sky Water Ritual by exchanging feminine love, affection and energy.

When Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir and Lady Ljúfvina have ceased kissing, hugging and caressing, the said High Priestess of the Ancient Temple lets the little noble lady stand in front of her with her bowl held at the ready. Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir then stands very still, closes her eyes and slowly raises her arms towards the sky sending prayers to Freyja for a successful ritual.

Quietly, patiently and expectantly the High Priestess of the Ancient Temple and the little noble lady are standing naked in their sacred Freyja protective circle, in a sacred spot in the sacred Forntemplet Forrest with their wooden bowls in readiness, waiting and watching out for the exact moment, the moment that Freyja will arrange nature for them and that the sky will fill with lightening and the roaring of thunder.

Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir opens her eyes and whispers to her foster daughter that Freyja has summoned the Great God Thor who is going to honour the two of them with thunder and lightening for their sacred water, that it is a wonderful thing to have Gods who respond to your needs and that she should remember this very well.

Then the High Priestess of the Ancient Temple and the little noble lady hear a loud thunderous roar and they see the surrounding lands fill with lightening. When the rain start to fall Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir and Lady Ljúfvina look to the east and wait for the sun to start to peek out from the horizon. As the sun creeps towards them, Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir and her foster daughter wait until the rays of the sun touch them. The little noble lady and her foster mother then turn their bowls upward and let them start to fill with sacred sky water.

The sun beams impregnate each drop that falls into Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir’s bowl with Freya's magical life powers. The lower bowl held by the little noble lady is filled with the overflow from her foster mother’s bowl. High Priestess of the Ancient Temple tells her foster daughter that she should be careful not to spill any of the sacred sky water. She also tells the little noble lady that she should remember this always for it will be up to her to teach her girl children for this is Freyja's secret ritual and only women can do it.

When the rain, thunder and lightning have ceased, Ærndís Sólareyjarsdottir and Lady Ljúfvina get dressed and carefully take their wooden bowls back home. The said wooden bowls are filled with sacred and very powerful water which contains the magical healing powers of Freya and the strength and protection of Thor.
