Beloved Patricians, Citizens and Friends,

It is Saint Martin's day where I live macronationally, and singing children with lanterns are going door-to-door for a reward of candy. I have already bought a pile of candy for them.

In the west part of the Belgian province of West Flanders, especially around Ypres, children receive presents from either their friends or family as supposedly coming from St. Martin on November 11.

My grandchildren have come to collect the presents 'supposedly coming from St.-Maarten'. Only 2 of them are still believers.  The others (11 of them) know what it's all about. Still it's a nice custom.

Sir Polten,

A High Priestess wonders when you ceased to be a believer in the notion of the presents coming from St.-Maarten?
