Sir Vali and Swedish Military

Recommended Posts

I think I'm a bit young for that :-)

Usually you get conscripted after you've finished your post-secondary education, so that you can do military service inbetween that and university.

Even if I did live in Sweden and was taken to the enrolment (every male that is called has to go there) I would probably request status as a conscientous objector and be sent to do some other stuff instead, like nursing or firefighting.

But I'd like the navy I think. That'd be soo cool. Maybe I'd just stop being a pussy and go for the navy. *sings* IN THE NAVY!!!

Good Morning To You, My Gentle Friends,

The Military is a really good way of life if you prefer a very structured, conscientious form of doing things . . .

And it does give you a lot of experience and travel and benefits as well . . .

There are truly many benefits to that particular pattern of life . . .

Have a most thougthful morning . . . forthwith . . .

Good Morning To You, Sir Vali,

Yes, I can appreciate the fact that killing other human beings is totally a wrong thing . . .

However, in a situation of war, that can definitely change the colour of things . . .

But, in peace time, that is true . . .

Other things in the military need to be addressed in peace time . . .

Like how to improve conditions in the military so that people will find their time in the service more productive . . .

I understand that the military is not a "fun" time . . .

However, superior officers need to understand that the people that they are in charge of should be given more productive outlets to increase the time of positive behanviour . . .

Have a most thoughtful morning . . . forthwith . . .

Good Morning To You, Sir Vali,

Perhaps if You joined a Gym, they might help You get in shape? . . .

However, I can't see You as being out of shape, Sir Vali!!! . . .

Have an absolutely splendiferous morning . . . forthwith . . .

But gyms are so expensive, and I have no money. So get money I have to work, and if I work (and go to school) then I have no time going to the gym. Dilemma!

All I need to do really to get in shape is to gain a few kilograms of muscle, and be able to run about 20 kilometres without any real difficulties. Shouldn't be too tough.

Good Morning To You, Sir Vali,

True . . . Work and School take up all the time . . .

Drat!!! . . .

Then we have no time for fun stuff!!! . . . .

Oh Well . . .

Listen, My Gentle Friend . . . Relax . . .

Take A Deep Breath . . .

Maybe a few Deep Breaths . . .

You will be in shape in no time!!! . . .

Have an absolutely splendiferous morning . . . forthwith . . .

I wouldn't call going to a gym being fun! It's more as a necessity. Haha.

I've become to dormant since I moved here to England. I used to be quite active in Sweden with walking, running and other sports now and then.

Luckily I still walk to school (whoch takes 45 seconds!) and we got a stairs in my home. Haha.

Was it easier to maintain an active life-style in Sweden, Sir Vali?

I'm not sure. Depends where you live and so, but active lifestyles were more encouraged in Sweden, as we had several hours each week in school where we would do mandatory sports and so...

I suppose there was more time in Sweden too. People work from 9-5 here, whereas it was more like 8-4 in Sweden. Working 8-4 gives you a extra hour in the afternoon. And school started earlier in Sweden than in the UK. I had my first lessons around 7:50 last year!
