Astrid 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2012 Lo, Your Majesty! May I present You with this painting with this scene from Vinlandinga Saga ("Saga of the Vinlanders"). It depicts your very distant ancestor Jarl Magnus Ingólfrson, one of the first settlers of Vinland, with family and retainers. He has just arrived in the Far Away Land and is commanding two of his men to erect his high seat pillars while his family and retainers and a dog look on. Several other retainers are unloading a nearby ship. In the background you can see the Kerlingarfjöll mountains.

High Queen Sigrid 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2012 A Priestess wishes to know from Her Majesty whether this spot is the location of Mágnhús Kástáli? Lady Sigrdrífa, the spot where Jarl Magnus Ingólfrson landed in Vinland, which is nowadays known as the Bay of Seals, for the first time is not the location of Mágnhús Kástáli, which is situated far more inland.
