THE HARP-LONGSHIPS TREATY

 

BETWEEN

 

THE KINGDOM OF CELTICA

 

AND

 

THE VIKING EMPIRE OF STORMARK.

 

 

To all Royals, Nobles and Knights and to all other persons whatsoever to whom these presents may concern, We, the Sovereign and Recognized Rulers of the Kingdom of Celtica, in the person of Her Majesty, Queen Aoife of Celtica, and the Viking Empire of Stormark, in the person of His Imperial Majesty, Harald Thorstein I the Generous Giver, The Sovereign Viking Emperor; do extend Our Greetings.

 

WHEREAS the Kingdom of Celtica is a Nation with potential,

 

AND WHEREAS the Kingdom of Celtica is at present not strong enough to be independent,

 

AND WHEREAS the Queen of Celtica has sought the protection of the Viking Empire of Stormark,

 

AND WHEREAS  it is meet that the cultural heritage of the Kingdom of Celtica should be protected and preserved,

 

LET IT THEREFORE BE KNOWN that the following Articles of Agreement have been negotiated in good faith and without effort of evasion or duress by the Governments of the Kingdom of Celtica and the Viking Empire of Stormark:

 

Article I.

 

The Kingdom of Celtica agrees to become an Imperial subdivision of the Viking Empire of Stormark; The Sovereign Viking Emperor of Stormark shall become the Overlord of the Queen of Celtica's. The  Queen of Celtica shall be granted Membership in the Imperial House of Stormark.

 

Article II.

 

As an Imperial Subdivision of Stormark the Kingdom of Celtica shall be free to govern itself according its own laws, customs and traditions, except for foreign affairs and defense which shall be under the control of the Imperial Government of Stormark.

 

Article III.

 

This Treaty may be terminated at any time by the Queen of Celtica at Her own discretion. Upon the termination of this Treaty the Sovereign Viking Emperor of Stormark shall cease to be the Queen of Celtica's Overlord and the Kingdom of Celtica shall become a fully independent Nation again.

 

Article IV.

 

This Treaty may be terminated at any time by the Sovereign Viking Emperor of Stormark at His own discretion. Upon the termination of this Treaty the Sovereign Viking Emperor of Stormark shall cease to be the Queen of Celtica's Overlord and the Kingdom of Celtica shall become a fully independent Nation again.

 

Article V.

 

This Treaty shall come into operation when it has been passed by the appropriate organs of Government in both Celtica and Stormark.

 

Article VI.

 

This Treaty may be cited as the Harp-Longships Treaty.

 

 

Given under Our respective Signs-Manual, on this the Twenty Third Day of May, 2005.

 

For the Kingdom of Celtica:

 

Aoife, Queen of Celtica.

 

 

For the Viking Empire of Stormark:

 

Harald Torsten I den Givmilde, genom Vikingalagarnas Nåd Enväldig Vikingakejsare av Vikingakejsardömet Stormark, och genom andra Höga Lagars Nåd Kung av Sina andra Riken.
