Punishments

Recommended Posts

Lady Law Speaker,

For punishments I would like to draw inspiration from First Viking Age Iceland.

I therefore would like to propose as punishments:

  • Lesser Outlawry;
  • Middle Outlawry;
  • Full Outlawry;
  • Full Outlawry with Damnation of Memory.

The In-Sim effect of Lesser Outlawry would be that one would be exiled to Old Gaol Isle for a period of up to one year. The real-life effect of Lesser Outlawry would be that one would be banned from the forums of the High Realm for a period of up to one year.

The In-Sim effect of Middle Outlawry would be that one would be exiled to Old Gaol Isle for a period of up to three years. The real-life effect of Middle Outlawry would be that one would be banned from the forums of the High Realm for a period of up to three years.

The In-Sim effect of Full Outlawry would be that one would be exiled to Old Gaol Isle for a period of up to ten years or for life. The real-life effect of Full Outlawry would be that one would be banned from the forums of the High Realm for a period of up to ten years or for life.

The In-Sim effect of Full Outlawry with Damnation of Memory would be that one would be exiled to Old Gaol Isle for life and one's name would be erased from all records. The real-life effect of Full Outlawry with Damnation of Memory would be that one would be banned from the forums of the High Realm for for life and one's forum account would be deleted and one's name would be added to the forum's profanity filter.
