Lady Law Speaker,

Committee members:

First of all: Although there are several items in the well-written draft by His Majesty with which I cannot with good conscience agree, I believe that the objectives of the committee is to codify the law that is today to a one document, whereby later revisions can be made. As such I will refrain to comment on the projected law's provisions other than these:

Article I. Patron of the Imperial House of Ettlingar Freyu

The Lady Freyja, deeply revered and beloved Foremother of this Ancient House, most glorious goddess of love, beauty, fertility and wealth, shall be the Patron of this Ancient House, the Imperial House of Ettlingar Freyu and no power or authority shall ever rip this Ancient House away from the bosom of the Lady of the Vanir.

Article II. The Ancient Ways

The members of this Ancient House shall be strongly encouraged to follow the Ancient Ways in accordance with the traditions, customs and practices of the Temple of Love on Hnossa Isle in the Imperial City of Haraldsborg. Children belonging to this Ancient House shall be brought up with knowledge of the Ancient Ways and within the High Realm.

--- which I believe should be put in Hervör's commentary instead.

Well, sir, the thing is that they describe the house and culture of the house --- not the legal structure. As such they belong to the more cultural commentary.

As Atty. Gen. I have a few suggestions. If you have OpenOffice (if you don't I highly recommend getting it, and you'll see why), you can write everything out in proper format with headers and everything else. OO can export everything in proper format for MediaWiki (which is the software StorWiki uses, as far as I can see). Its what I did with my own wiki, here and here. If you do not have OO, then as Atty. Gen. I'd be happy to do this task if/when we agree to keep the laws on the wiki.

StorWiki is not fit to store the laws yet since it does not accept Norse characters. Any time I type a letter like ø, ð, æ, I get an error message. I will have to talk with Spangle about that matter.

That sounds weird. Usually that is a problem with installation. I made sure I set it to UTF-8 so that it can accept anything within the unicode range. Although ø, ð, æ and å are not unicode, they're within the web-safe 0x21-0xFF.
