Meaning: The bear upon yellow represents the former rule of Treisenberg by the founder of the House of Leirvik. The cross of Jerusalem represents the legacy of Christianity within Viking culture. The ship upon blue represents the maritime nature of the Viking people. The white horse represents courage, a founding principle of the House of Leirvik.
