Recommended Posts

Mr. Attorney-General,

Does Allemansrätt exist under Stormarkian Law?

Well, you can't say whether it exists or not. We're not having a real life land, so we can't try it.

But if there is a law saying that we have the freedom to roam, no. But there's no law saying we can't.

According to the Instrument of Rights and Liberties we have the right to hunt, fish, and trap wildlife and may also roam freely in the forests that were established before the Emperor Harald's Reign.

So we might call that semi-Allemansrätt. ;)

Article XXIII.

The freedom to hunt, fish, and trap wildlife, including all aquatic life, traditionally taken by hunters, trappers and anglers, is a valued natural heritage that shall be forever preserved for the people. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to authorize the use of private property to hunt, fish, or trap without the consent of the owner of the property.

Article XXIV.

Those forests which were established before Our reign we shall guarantee and protect, and not disafforest any, nor suffer any infringement or trespass upon the same; provided always, that We shall permit Our Citizens to recreate peaceably therein, with no harm to the forest or its creatures.

We should introduce such a Law.
