What do names mean? Yes... it's a difficult question. The second part of the name is a patrinymic, "son of Amaethon" it means. Amaethon derives from "great ploughman", a few of the Welsh more pacifist names tongue.gif

Amaethon is also the Welsh god of agriculture.

Aneirin was the name of an old bard, or poet, who lived in the 6th century Brythonic Britain. The name may mean "golden", "noble", "modest" depending on how you interoret etymological theories and which one you believe. No one can know for certain. And thus it is with many a name these days... And I like the sound of it smile.gif
