Opening of the Althing.

The Sovereign enters the area where the Althing is to be held, followed by 2 assistants.

The Sovereign walks the perimeter. The assistants follow, marking out the perimeter with a rope.

The Sovereign moves to the center. The assistants leave the area, returning with the Harrow.

SOVEREIGN:

Come, people of Stormark! Come to the Althing, to debate and to make decisions for our nation!

The members of the Althing enter the area. Once all are in, the assistants close the rope perimeter.

SOVEREIGN:

SOVEREIGN:

We are here to open the Althing!

We honor Tyr, God of the Thing! We ask that you grace us with the calm and the wisdom to make decisions without sowing discord among us!

The Sovereign then runs the Hammer over the blot-bolli, tracing the pattern of the hammer.

SOVEREIGN:

Thor, hallow this libation.

The Sovereign sprinkles the libation on the harrow, using the sprig of oak.

The members of the Althing file past, each one being sprinkled with the libation.

Then, each member is given a share of the libation (from the original container) after taking a drink, any remainders are poured into the blot-bolli.

The Sovereign pours the blot-bolli onto the ground, to share the libation with the wights.

The members of the Althing then take their seats and the Sovereign departs, the assistants bringing the Harrow.
