Greetings to all!

As you may or may not have noticed, I've been out for a while, but not on purpose. Senior year of high school can get to you. But now that things are settled, I am looking for suggestions for the Church. Whatever needs, suggestions, hints, etc., which are swirling around in your mind, feel free to spill it here.

Your Holiness,

I hear you are now exploring the left wing politics.

In history, clergy and nobility supported each other, often at the expense of the commoner. In this respect, it's normal to see that socialism very often was anti clerical.

What would it look like today if the church had chosen from the early days to stand up for the ordinary people, protecting them from those who were bleeding them.

Let's just suppose it happened and was successful. What would the church be like? Would we have big churchebuildings with great treasures? Would it be hierarchic? Would it be as inflexible on subjects like celibacy, (homo)sexuality ?????

Polten,

While your questions are interesting, and questions I have asked myself many times, we have to remember that in many instances the Church and the commoners have together stood against the establishment. Just look at liberation theology in Latin America, on the alliance between the Church and Solidarity in Poland...

Your Highness,

What you say is absolutely right. Many examples can be found, mainly in recent history. But what I wonder about is the imaginary situation where the religion remains the people's instrument for improving their situation.

Christianity starts as a forbidden movement under the roman emperrors and remains rather obscure until the rulers accept the new faith and come to control (and corrupt) it.

It's just an idea to play with: an idealistic, micronational religion in a socialist nation. As the Pope said himself:

Whatever needs, suggestions, hints, etc., which are swirling around in your mind, feel free to spill it here.

Indeed, Polten and Your Highness, both of your concerns I have pondered over deeply, macro and micronationally. I have thought of what it would be like to formulate a more leftist church, not necessarily because of my own view (which I have shown to be all over the map here in Stormark), but because I have gained the technique method learning, that is, acting out a topic (like method acting, and even micronationalism itself.) So, we shall see...
