There is a Queen who weaves in the sky
See how She spins, see Her finger fly

She's been before us from beginning to end
She is our mother, lover and friend

She is the weaver and we are the web
She is the needle and we are thread

Lady Frigg never leaves us on the line
Through Her Love we're always doing fine!

Lady Law Speaker, Honourable Jarls,

In the name of the Three Ladies Divine, Frigga, Freyja and Idunn, Fulltrui and Sacred Queens of the Good Lands of Valtia Reborn, from Whom all Authority in the Lands of the Longships Throne is derived, Her High Holiness the Yfirstormarksgythia and High Priestess of the Thingeyri Temple, Sigrdrífa the Priestess of the House of Vanadís, Ærkejarla of Thingeyri and the Idunn Isles, does hereby submit this Bill to the Most Honourable Jarls in this present Althing assembled for their consideration as law:

A Bill

Most Gracious Sovereign Lord and Ruler of all the Lands Whatsoever Where Man Can Smell the Scent of Saline Waters or Hear the Sound of Crashing Waves,

WHEREAS it recently became a concern among the population of the Lands of the Longships Throne that the full ceremonial name of their Sovereign's Official Residence and Imperial Seat, the Vanadísarhall, had, very unfortunately, solely been laid down in the Days of the Old Tale by the Lady Lolle Jonsdóttir of the House of Fjaðurstafur, the (in)famous Imperial Skald and Scribe, in archaic words from the Old Upplandish language and written down in Aiuedetlolbish hieroglyphs, causing its meaning to be known only to few. Likewise around the self-same time did the proliferation of names for the Imperial Hall aforesaid commence to be a concern for the inhabitants of the Twenty-Six Jarldoms as well;

AND WHEREAS we, Your Imperial and Royal Majesty's Most Faithful Jarls in the Althing assembled, have most solemnly endeavoured to exercise our Supreme Legislative Authority to, with the translative aid of the Lady Lolle Jonsdóttir of the House of Fjaðurstafur and for the benefit of the Population of the Twenty-Six Jarldoms, address the issue of providing clarity concerning the various names of the Vanadísarhall by making statutory provision for the paramount, salient and weighty legacy matter aforesaid;

NOW, THEREFORE, we, Your Imperial and Royal Majesty’s most dutiful and loyal Patricians, the Most Honourable Jarls of the High Realm in the Althing assembled, have freely and voluntarily resolved to create and establish this Statute concerning the names of the Official Residence and Imperial Seat of the Sovereign of the Land of Always Summer by this Act of ours and through the provisions of the Act aforesaid make provision concerning the full ceremonial name and the additional names of the aforementioned Imperial Hall as well as several matters ancillary to the aforesaid, and we do most humbly beseech Your Imperial Valtian Viking Majesty that You may be graciously pleased to assent to and confirm as Law the following decision of Your Most Faithful Althingi Jarls:

AN ACT TO MAKE PROVISION CONCERNING THE FULL CEREMONIAL NAME AND THE ADDITIONAL NAMES OF THE VANADÍSARHALL; AND TO MAKE PROVISION CONCERNING MATTERS CONNECTED TO THE AFORESAID.

(2) The additional names of the Vanadísarhall may, in accordance with venerable tradition and ancient custom, continue to be used officially in any and all legal documents, writs and instruments.

Lady Law Speaker, Honourable Jarls,

Why didn't the Lady Lolle Jonsdóttir of the House of Fjaðurstafur choose a more bland and boring full ceremonial name for the Vanadísarhall, such as "Government House"? ;)

Lady Law Speaker, Honourable Jarls,

A High Priestess wishes to convey that the Lady Lolle would, in the event that she would have done that, would most certainly have been kindly advised to seek employment in a tedious and bland republic. ;)

Lady Law Speaker, Honourable Jarls,

How on Reikistjarna did the Lady Lolle manage to enter the service of the High King?

Lady Law Speaker, Honourable Jarls,

A High Priestess wishes to convey that in the Days of the Old Tale, when he was a young chieftain on the Mysterious Isles the High King met the Lady Lolle Jonsdóttir - also known as Loony Lolle and who at the time was a failed skald and scribe who struggled to make ends meet, for the first time in a louche and seedy inn called the Moody Mermaid where he and Marley the Rastaviking saved her from the innkeeper and a mob of drunk patrons who wanted to rape her because she was unable to pay her bill. After a plea so passionate that it bordered on hysteria the High King took her into his service where entertained his sailors and soldiers with bawdy songs and ridiculous stories from her rich, some say way to rich, imagination. From that day on she also produced innumerable other works and writings for the House of Ettlingar Freyu and related monarchies.
