The Arms of the High Justiciar of Stormark

The shield of the Arms of the High Justiciar of Stormark is quartered by a cross of white fimbriated red. As in the days of yore a cross is a symbol of sun god(desse)s as well as sex. The colour white symbolizes purity and the colour red represents passion. In the first and fourth quarter of the shield is the Horned God, which is one of incarnations of the Lord Divine Freyr, performing the great rite with his twin sister the Goddess Freyja. In the second and third quarter features a boar on green, which meaning will be explained elsewhere in this post when we get to the explanation of the Badge of the High Justiciar.

The shield is held aloft by a pair of crowned white falcons, which represent an ancient Valtian royal symbol. Falcons are also associated with the Lady Divine Freyja. The two crowned falcons are an allusion to the High King of whom one of his nicknames is "The Young Falson" as well He is also a descendant of Goddess Freyja as well as Him being the Lady Freyja's Sacred Consort. They also allude to the Falcon Crown, the crown that the Lady Divine Freyja wears in Her Capacity of Sacred Queen of Stormark.

Aback the shield there is the collar of the Grand and Glorious Imperial Order of the Two Silver Longships, which is, together with the Most Beloved and Most Blessed Imperial Order of the Fulltrui, the highest order of chivalry of the High Realm of Stormark.

Saltirewise behind the shield there are the Hand of Justice and the Scepter of Mercy which are two age-old symbols of royal power. These attributes were presented to the High King at His coronation as an emblem of power. The Hand of Justice has three open fingers, and the King held it in his left hand. It symbolizes simultaneously the hand that strikes, caresses and blesses. The Scepter of Mercy depicts the High King siting in judgment as in the days of yore, dispensing justice tempered with mercy. The Hand of Justice and the Scepter of Mercy are included in the Arms of the High Justiciar to denote that zie may, outside Regencies, act on the High King's behalf when He is indisposed as well speak, where appropriate, with the His Imperial and Royal Majesty's voice.

All of the aforementioned elements of the coat of arms of the High Justiciar are placed in the Imperial State Pavilion of Stormark. The Imperial State Pavilion is made of blue velvet and strewn with bees - the bee being an ancient symbol of immortality and resurrection - and bordered with golden grape clusters as well as golden fringes. The aforesaid pavilion is lined with ermine and is held in place by the Imperial Crown of Valtia.

Below the Imperial State Pavilion of Stormark is a motto scroll with the motto appertaining to the office of High Justiciar of Stormark "Yfirkonungurs Hönd og Rödd" which means "Hand and Voice of the High King" which alludes to the ancient role of the High Justiciar as right hand of the Sovereign Lord of Stormark as well as the High Justiciar's authority to speak, where appropriate, with the voice of the High King.

The Badge of the High Justiciar of Stormark

The Badge of the High Justiciar depicts a boar which is an ancient Norse royal symbol associated with the Lady Freyja, Stormark's Fulltrui and Sacred Queen, as well as Her brother the Lord Freyr. The boar is an emblem of fertility, fearlessness, and strength. A champion among wild beasts, he encounters enemies with nobility and courage, and has thus come to signify the traits of bravery and perseverance. The boar is a fierce combatant when at bay and never ceases to resist, even when cornered.

The colour green is the colour of fertility, the colour gold symbolizes Stormark's wealth, and the fleurs-de-lys represent the High Justiciar's (regal) authority, which is second only to that of the High King.
