[Bill] Third Styles and Titles (Amendment) Bill

* Sings. * :singer:

And who are you,

the proud horde spoke,

that we should avoid your land.

Only the queen of a different den,

that's all the truth we know.

A king of this, a queen of that,

really means naught to us.

We've been fighting kings since the days of dawn,

and we have always won.

And so they spoke, and so they spoke,

that horde of barbarians.

But now the winds wail over their bones,

with no one there to hear.

Yes now the winds wail over their bones,

and not a soul to hear.

Memorandum of Explanation

Lady Law Speaker, Honourable Jarls,

The purpose of this Bill is to amend the Styles and Titles Act of Year 10 to bring it in accordance with the changes caused by Storjarl Frederik and the Ladies Fjǫrleif and Esther joining the Imperial House of Ettlingar Freyu.

The Bill also changes the Imperial Chieftaincy of Storjarl Edgard from Sicilia to Orkney and the Imperial Chieftaincy of Storjarla Ærinndís from Snæland to Port Chloe and the Providence Plantations. The former due to Sicilia not being a Jarldom on the Light Side, the latter due to the conferment of Snæland, which currently belongs to Storjarla Ærinndís, upon Storjarl Frederik and my Lady Sister getting Port Chloe and the Providence PLantations in stead.

The Bill also adds recently-acquired Hurmu titles to the Imperial Titles of the Sovereign and Lady Aoife.

Lady Law Speaker,

May I just add -- to the excellent bill authored by His Imperial and Royal Majesty -- that His Majesty may also claim the title "Prince among the Lakes" should he desire so.

The title "prince among the lakes" is granted to any former prince of Hurmu, or should the former prince of Hurmu be dead, to his eldest descendant, and so on.

Many Storish people may be eligible for the title of Knight/Lady of the Holy Lakes which is awarded to all former Senators of the Lakes, or their descendants. By Hurmu tradition, spouses are considered descendants for orders of chivalry. This title may however not be used in conjunction with "Prince/ss among the Lakes" or "Queen among the Lakes".
