  1. Saint Andrews Hall Queen Victoria had very much enjoyed the exquisite dinner with her first cousin High King Harald. Ever since she had taken refuge in the High Realm of Stormark after the collapse of her country, the former Kingdom-Empire of Victoria, in the Tenth Year of the Second Viking Age which was caused by the actions of foreign agents provocateur, Queen Victoria had lived a quiet and withdrawn - but very rewarding and inspiring - life in Saint Andrews Hall here in the Earldom of the Suðreyjar where people adored Her Majesty. Life was good for Queen Victoria on the Suðreyjar's Isle of Skye. So good it was that after Her Majesty had found her way in the Earldom she had not ever considered a return to the public eye of the (inter)national stage, being exuberantly content with her newfound existance. She was, however, quite happy to learn in the Twelfth Year of the Second Viking Age that the lands of the former Kingdom of Victoria were no longer part of The Green since Gotzborg had absorbed them and the King of Gotzborg had assumed the Kingship in Right of Victoria, both with the support of the prominent Victorian politician Dr. Bjorn Olsen. The High King of Stormark, Harald Freyjugjöf the Generous Giver of the House of the Descendants of Freyja, regularly visited his first cousin Queen Victoria. During those visits Saint Andrews Hall rung with laughter when Harald and Victoria reminisced of the days when she in the latter decades of the Age of Darkness fostered him as little boy at her Royal Household, initially as Crown Princess of Victoria and later as its Queen. They also enjoyed various meals composed of typical Victorian dishes and delicacies. The fosterage of little Harald at Victoria's Royal Household took partly place as part of his noble upbringing and partly to protect him from Ivar the Impaler's attempts on my life. As Crown Princess she has personally dispatched a couple of hired knives send by the Ivar the Impaler to kill young Harald - earning her the nickname Valiant Vicky - and as Queen she has even threatened Ivar the Impaler with war if the attempts at Harald's life would not cease. As Victoria at the time was one of the most powerful countries on Micras, Ivar the Impaler was wise and prudent enough to quit the assassination attempts for the time being, biding his time. Harald had a great time during his fostering in Victoria's Royal Household, with him as a page boy taking part in several historic events such as Queen Victoria's accession to the Victorian Throne as the Second of Her Name, her royal coronation and Her wedding with Prince Alfred. In addition there was the perquisite enjoying the high and good life in safety. This family dinner was, however, different for it was to be followed by a ceremony in which the Pact of Saint Andrews, a Family Pact of the House of Ettlingar Freyu between Her Majesty Queen Victoria II of the former Kingdom-Empire of Victoria and His Imperial and Royal Majesty High King Harald Freyjugjöf the Generous Giver of the House of the Descendants of Freyja, High King of Stormark. The Family Pact was the way for both monarchs, Harald reigning and Victoria non-reigning, to deal with several issues which had been lingering for quite some time, but had recently become very pressing. Among those issues were the dispute over the royal title of Valencia, the custodianship of the kingship in right of Lovely, the status of the House of Broun and its members under international law, and the emergence of Silas Morgan, a renegade Victorian Army general turned dictator in The Green who was nowadays known as Sorlin. He wanted to kidnap Queen Victoria and then use her as a figurehead for his extremely delusional pipedream of restoring the Kingdom-Empire of Victoria with him as de facto leader. And thus did Queen Victoria and High King Harald walk solemnly from the Montcroix Chamber, which is Queen Victoria's private dining room, to the Equinox Solar, the Queen's study for a small and intimate ceremony in which the Pact of Saint Andrews was going to be signed and sealed. Her Majesty was the first to affix her seal and signature to the Family Pact, followed by the High King.
  2. The High King is much older than you all thought, isn't he?
